Healing Anxiety with Awareness
Step 1: You are awareness and therefore can witness anxiety, but you are not the anxiety itself. This helps to break attachment and feeling anxious about the experience. See anxiety as an experience appearing in the body, you are not the anxiety.
Step 2: No judgement necessary, anxiety isn’t bad or wrong, everyone experiences it at some point. It’s a fight or flight response triggered by the idea of ‘danger’ – when the ego feels unsafe, the corresponding nature is often one of ‘anxiety’.
Step 3: It’s OK to feel the discomfort with awareness, allow it to be there, don’t fight it or judge it.
